Security Section
Indian Ocean Asset management Limited is committed to keep your online financial transactions secure and confidential.
We use the latest and strongest cryptographic standards such as SSL (Secure Socket Layer), to protect the information being transferred over the internet.
Once you access your account details, using your User ID and Password issued to us, a secure session will be established between your computer and our server.
You may verify that your session is secured in two ways:
When you see the letters "https" at the beginning of the web site address (URL) in your web browser - the 's' means secure
When you see a closed padlock icon, usually located at the bottom of your web browser.
Your Responsibility
To further ensure your security, we recommend that you take the following measures:
Change you password regularly and keep it safe
Change your password by using the 'Password' option of Internet Banking - you can also set a time period after which the system will ask you to change your password.
Change
your password immediately, if you think
it is known by unauthorised users.
Set a password which is at least 6 characters long and which is made of a combination of letters and numbers.
Always logout and close your browser after viewing your account
To terminate your session you must logout. If you do not logout, the session will remain active for some minutes, and it will then be possible for other users to view the pages you have accessed from your browser cache.
Close you browser after logout, to ensure that pages you have accessed are cleared from the browser cache.
